About The Presenter

During this presentation, we outline the three cornerstones of building a positive workplace culture. Firstly, tackling this issue requires an intersectional lens: the understanding of sexual harassment as a broad spectrum of behaviour that intersects with racism, ageism, ableism, heteronormativity, weight stigma, and other forms of harm. Secondly, this work requires role modelling from leaders and transparent communication about the issue and the haerenga ahead. Finally, companies must engage with a cohort of experts, including specialists from the sexual harm prevention sector, to sustain the holistic approach that this process requires. RespectEd Aotearoa has worked with a range of corporate and community organisations using this framework, and we will call on specific examples to demonstrate what works and why.
